A Very Merry Pinspired Christmas

Well folks, it's been a very busy week at Pinspired filled with gift-making, crafting, and Christmas spirit! Thanks to all our new fans and followers who are spreading the word of Pinspired. We are so pleased to have many new customers scheduling appointments and dropping by the shop. Remember, it's not too late to come in to make a last minute Christmas gift for your loved one! We have many easy projects that can be personalized with initials and colors. One of our most popular gift ideas this season is family photos on canvases! You bring us your photo(s) and we blow them up to whatever size you want.....small, medium, large, or even EXTRA LARGE! We then show you how to paste your photo onto a painted canvas. Then, you can personalize your canvas with embellishments or even an antiqued look. Photos make awesome, personalized gifts for friends OR family members. You can even bring in a few photos and make a decorative collage! And, as always, come in with your original (or Pinterest-inspired) ideas to create a unique project of your own. Shay, Pinspired's owner and operator, would be more than happy to advise and assist you in making your crafting dreams become a reality!

You can find some of our Christmas gift ideas on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/getpinspired

REMINDER: CHRISTMAS IS IN ONLY FOUR DAYS!!!!

Below is an example of a photo pasted on a painted canvas. The edges of the photo can be sanded, burned, or ripped to give the edges a unique texture. Wouldn't this look good hanging on the wall or above the mantel?!

Pinspired's News Experience

We were so lucky to be featured on TWO local news channels this past week. First, we got to spend Thursday evening crafting with Sarah-Blake Morgan from KCBD News Channel 11. Sarah has recently crafted at Pinspired and can't get enough of it! She has transformed an old door into an antiqued coffee table and has also made an adorable Christmas tree skirt. On Thursday evening, during the news segment, Sarah actually transformed an old set of lockers into an antiqued bookshelf with a lamp! Sarah told us that she loved collecting old books and would love a place to display them in her home. We thought adding the lamp would be a great accent to the piece! Those who saw us on KCBD got to see the transformation process that took place on those old lockers. We also got to feature other Christmas crafts such as another tree skirt,    an advent calendar, a personalized jewelry holder, and a winter wreath! Sarah was so much fun to work with....we had a BLAST!

Bright and early on Friday morning we were up and at it again! This time we were being featured by Fox News 34 for the Good Day Lubbock segment. Brittany and Nick arrived at about 5:45 to set up for the 6:00 AM news show. Brittany had heard of Pinspired and wanted to see what we were all about. She was so amazed by our workshop, supplies, and power tools. We have a feeling that she will be coming in soon to make some projects of her own :) The morning flew by because we were having so much fun finishing up our Christmas crafts. Brittany interviewed one of our new customers, Rebecca, who literally dropped by our shop a few days ago. Rebecca and her sister Juli decided to make a Winter Wreath for their mom and a very cute gift for their sister! (Keep an eye out for a future blog post revealing their awesome finished products!!)

We were so excited to spread the word of Pinspired throughout Lubbock and the surrounding area. Huge thanks to both KCBD News Channel 11 and Fox News Channel 34 for coming out to support Pinspired.

We hope that our followers have a better understanding of our business and we hope to see you ALL soon! Remember, we provide the tools, supplies, and instruction needed for you to create your dream projects. Whether they are for your own home or a gift for a loved one, we would LOVE to assist you.

Sarah's Rustic Tree Skirt

Pinspired had a local celebrity stop by for a visit yesterday----Sarah-Blake Morgan from KCBD News Channel 11! Sarah will be in our shop TOMORROW to film a segment on Christmas Crafts for the afternoon news. She decided to come in a few days early to make a Christmas craft herself. Sarah chose to make this adorable rustic Christmas tree skirt. The base fabric of these tree skirts is linen and burlap. The adorable ruffled layers can be made from essentially any type of fabric! Sarah chose a thick burlap, white glittery tulle, navy blue with white polka dots, cream lace, country checkered fabric, and a thin cream-colored burlap. We LOVED how the glitter and lace accents added the perfect feminine touch to this country Christmas tree skirt. Sarah decided to go home and have her tree "try the skirt on" to see if she wanted to add more ruffled layers. This is NOT one of those tedious projects that involves hours of sizing, planning, measuring, cutting, or sewing. On the contrary, we did a lot of "fabric ripping" in order to create the worn look on the edges. The ruffles are bunched and attached using a hot glue gun. Depending on the size of the skirt, this project may be somewhat time-consuming--but definitely not difficult! Come in today to create your own personalized tree skirt to match your home's Christmas decorations. For those of you who have MULTIPLE Christmas trees in your home, here is a fun way to further personalize each tree!
